What age groups do you accommodate?

The Tot Lot is licensed to provide comprehensive and caring services for children ranging from 6 weeks to 13 years old. Our inclusive environment caters to the unique needs and developmental stages of each age group. The Tot Lot offers a diverse range of programs year-round. This ensures a seamless transition and continuity of care as your child progresses through various stages of early childhood development.

What curriculum or approach do you follow for teaching?

At The Tot Lot, we proudly implement the Brightwheel curriculum, a dynamic and comprehensive system designed to enhance your child's learning journey. Brightwheel enables our teachers to monitor and assess each child's progress, fostering a personalized and engaging educational experience. The curriculum is thoughtfully crafted with interactive learning experiences, incorporating skills into playful games and discovery projects. Whether for babies, toddlers, or preschoolers, our flexible lesson plans prioritize hands-on learning, integrating social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and various other aspects into daily activities. We believe in providing a well-rounded and stimulating environment for your child's holistic development.

Curriculum

Will I be able to get updates on my child’s day?

Absolutely! We understand the importance of staying connected with your child's daily experiences, so we utilize the Brightwheel app to keep you in the loop. This user-friendly app offers a live feed of updates, including details such as diaper changes/potty times, bottles/feedings, daily lesson plans, and photos captured throughout the day. With Brightwheel, you also have the convenience of a messaging feature, allowing seamless communication with your child's teacher. Stay informed and connected, ensuring you're part of your child's journey every step of the way.

Do you provide meals?

We do not provide breakfast or lunch. We do provide a morning and an afternoon snack. We also host Pizza Friday’s which you can opt in for an additional $3 per week.

What is your inclement weather policy?

We do not follow the local public schools closing procedures and will use our best judgment during inclement weather scenarios to keep the children and staff safe.

Do you have a policy for late pickups or early drop-offs?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we strive to be flexible in accommodating occasional late pick-ups. We recognize that life can be unpredictable, and our primary focus is on the well-being of your child(ren). While we aim to be understanding, we kindly request that parents communicate with us regarding any unexpected delays.
